Welcome to an unusual campsite
Eksjö Camping is not owned by any limited company that needs to give its owners a dividend on invested capital, nor by any foundation where no one has insight into the actual owners or for what purpose the organization is run. The campsite is owned by a non-profit association whose engine is to spread the message of Jesus Christ. By arranging concerts, devotionals, children's matinees, church services and teenage evenings, we want to tell the happy news that the creator of the world sent his son to our earth to show his love for all people and that he wants to free us from the sin that separates us humans from God. If you want to hear more about this fantastic message, you are welcome to our gatherings and you can also book an appointment for a conversation with one of our pastors who is here for you.

Kom Till Festen is the name of the association that started Eksjö Camping & Conference.
The association was formed in 1979-1980 and in 1982 the association took over the operation of
"Prästängsbadet camping" by Eksjö Municipality.
In 2017, the association changed its name to
Eksjö Camping & Conference.
Most of the members of the association belong to different Christian churches in Eksjöbyggden and try to tell the happy gospel about Jesus Christ in different ways. From the eve of the Walpurgis Fair until mid-August, there is a large range of programs and activities with concerts, outdoor activities, devotionals and religious services.
A lot has happened since the beginning. It is a big transformation from a very primitive
tent/caravan camping to today's modern facility. Almost everything has been built
of devoted idealistic forces. The voluntary forces are still the basis of
the business, but there is also an employed staff who manage the day-to-day work.

WE CELEBRATE 40 YEARS
So it happened, and now it gained momentum with a large number of non-profits who, in the coming years, would transform the area into a modern campsite that now came to be called Eksjö Camping. Before each new season, news could be presented such as a service house, miniature golf course, playground, conference room, camping cabins, water slide, reception and administrative building and restaurant. As the icing on the cake, the Hotellträdgården was moved from the center of Eksjö to the campsite and became a hostel with character. During this period, the association also bought the land from the municipality and expanded the campsite itself with new sites.

After a few years, it was again time for new projects and the mini golf course was replaced by an adventure golf course. On a voluntary basis, a tourist train was built from old station wagons from the post terminal in Nässjö and more cottages were built. For the past 10 years, the association has devoted itself to renovating all the buildings plus building three self-catering cottages.

Throughout the years, the association has arranged an extensive summer program that includes Walborg fair celebrations, midsummer celebrations, concerts, children's matinees, devotionals, religious services, excursions and competitions. Almost every summer
there has been a summer group that carried out activities for the whole family and camping pastors that were on hand for conversation.
The non-profit association Eksjö Camping & Conference with subsidiary Kom Till Festen, as the formal name is now, wants to be a place where people from all over Europe will hear the good news about Jesus Christ. That He loves us so much that He came to our world to die and rise again to take our sin so that we can connect with the God who made both you and me. If we confess our sin (that we have not made Him Lord in our life) and confess His name, Jesus gives us grace and eternal life. We have been talking about that for 40 years and we want to continue with that for many years to come.
